In the human heart the atria and the chambers have fused into a kind of pointed bag which is divided only internally. This division creates four different cavities. These make a double circulation possible. The small circulation, which goes from the heart to the lungs and back and the large circulation, which supplies the rest of the body with oxygen-rich blood from the heart.
