Op kaft: "Operatie Groningen 1957" en 'bewaren'. Op pagina 1: 6 getekende plaatjes van een hart met en zonder catheters in diverse aders. Op pagina 2: "This album has been specially produced in commemoration of the 6th International Post-Graduate Course in Fundamentals of Thoracic Clinical Science and Surgery, 1957, University of Groningen, the Netherlands. It contains two sets of photographs: the first demonstrates the relative positions of cardiologist, radiologist and patient during a heart catheterization, and the subsequent making of an X-ray cinecardiographic film record. The second set of photographs gives an impression of the same equipment, viz. the Philips Catheterization Table with Two-Way Viewer, and the Ring Stand with 11 inch Image Intensifier as positioned during the above procedure."
