Background information
This model, representing the brain of a tortoise is not much decorated with labels. The simplicity of this model does not need an extended array of routing. The main focus for Auzoux in this model probably was the globular structures. This model is comparable with the brain models he made from carp and snake brains. Although the midbrain, hindbrain and forebrain are still clearly distinct able, the brain parts in this amphibian model are merged with each other. These parts contain labels with the names of the different anatomical parts
